Pocket full of change {Idea}

A year ago we received a change jar for Christmas, I placed it in the laundry room as I always manage to find my husband’s pockets full of change. Over the year the change jar has survived pilfering for coffee and bus tickets and is now full of coins. We now have over $100 in the change jar! a little surprised by the bonus I am going to buy something for the house.

 

 

 

I have introduced another change jar in our bedroom.

What a great way to give yourself a little unexpected bonus, just like a good old fashioned money box.

 

Does anybody else do this?

Giuliana & Bill Rancic's New Home {Inspired}

I am a massive dorky fan of Giuliana & Bill Rancic's reality show, the couple recently welcomed little baby Duke into their family, his little nursery is fantastic, I love the nautical undertones and subdued colours, not to mention the convex mirror and Octopus print (From her first LA apartment)

I love the large mirror hanging on the wall in this family room, and the perfect mix of cushion patterns.

That's GOLD {Nursery Ideas}

One of my girlfriends is having a baby, so of course I am very excited about the decorating prospects as I know she has great taste (oh yeah and of course getting to meet the little one). We have been chatting about ideas and I know she has a modern and clean style just like that of Maria Fe of Layers of Meaning. I absolutely adore what she did with her son Jack’s room.  

I love the white and gold  as a colour scheme, it is gender neutral and I imagine will grow along with the child.

The Escala Penthouse of Christian Grey { Fifty Shades of Grey }

I am currently halfway through the third book, and every little bit addicted to the story of Christian Grey (fifty) and Anna Steele. The Escala penthouse referred to is real, although the images and floor plan don't match the descriptions in the book (no secret rooms) there are still many likenesses. The apartment on the top floor of Escala recently sold for $6 million, the all-glass window home marketed with Grey’s famous piano in the corner.
